Final day on “True Memoirs of an International Assassin”
UPM Carrie Fix offered me to work on the last day of this Netflix upcoming feature directed by Jeff Wadlow (Kiss Ass 2). After too long, I was very happy to pull focus for Ludovic Littee (DP of “Orange is the New Black”) on A Camera. Spencer Gillis was operating the B camera with 1st AC Walter Rodriguez. It was great collaborating with Peter Collister, ASC, for the first time. The camera crew included Ian Carmody (A 2nd AC), Jeffrey Taylor (B 2nd AC), Charlie Anderson (DIT), and Carlos Barbot (loader).

When set is on track
I worked this past Friday on a Plate Unit for “The Girl on the Train”. We rigged 2 sets of 3 Reds built in array and filmed some background footage while the train was moving back and forth by the Hudson River. Thanks to Alex Worster and Tony Coan, now I can say I know how to use an array rig.

“Manchester By The Sea”
I am up in Massachusetts for a week doing B camera on this Tier 2 feature starring Casey Affleck. DP is Jody Lee Lipes and A 1st AC is Sam Ellison. It’s my first time using the Alexa XT with Open Gate.

The Nest
It’s daylight but not for much longer. 9pm call time for a day on stage with Bobby Mancuso and his team, working on Tina Fey’s new movie. My DP/operator is Andy Voegeli and 2nd AC Justin Mancuso.

Day-playing on “5 to 7”
I met DP Arnaud Potier in 2008 on a Kid Cudy music video in Los Angeles. Based in Paris, he’s been shooting a feature in NYC for 3 weeks, and I gladly filled in for a day of exteriors in midtown.

Depardieu + Ferrara
I did some B camera days on the “June Project”, the new movie directed by Abel Ferrara with Gerard Depardieu, playing the role of DSK, the French policitian arrested in NYC back in 2011 for sexual assault. That was quite an experience to say the least. Glad to work with Eli Aronoff and Nicole Cosgrove.

Luc Besson in NYC
Director Luc Besson is in town this weekend to shoot scenes of his next feature Malavita, with Robert De Niro. DP is Thierry Arbogast. I was assisting operator Michael Borrow in shooting plates for it at the Navy Yard.
