Short Film Screening
Local 600 Queer Groups’s Short Film Screening took place on Saturday 12/07 at Arri Brooklyn Haus and was a huge success! We had big turnout of about 65 people. We screened 11 short films, all DP’d by Local 600 members from every classification (loader, 2nd AC, 1st AC, Operator and DPs). The 1hr45mn screening was followed by a Q&A, moderated by myself! I want to warmly thank Keisha Simmons and Anna Nowlan from the NYC Office for their help and support, and Xiomara from the National 600 Office. Follow the Local 600 Queer Group on Instagram and Facebook.

“1095 Days” in Brooklyn
After shooting Beyonce earlier this week, Scott Beardslee and I went back to work on Han Fang Pao’s short film starting yesterday. We will go on until Tuesday. We’re using the good old Arri S16mm.

Back in time…
It is not rare to never see what we worked on. We participate to so many projects than sometimes we even forget about some. In 2007, I worked on a few shorts with DP Marco Cappetta. I randomly found them online and I am sharing them with you. The first video is the trailer of “Sound Of Silence” by Andrea Bacci. I did some jib work and was an additional 1st AC. The second one is the full video of “Blood Red Send” by Giuseppe Testori. I was the 1st AC. Click below: Blood Red Sand

“Miss Angela”
I just came back from two days in Palm Springs, where I worked on a short film called Flyboy. We were at the Air Museum, the action taking place in a old but beautiful 1936 “B-17”. The jib was in its 18ft configuration, mostly used for the exterior shots of the plane. More pics on the “jib operator” page. DP: Matt Turve Camera: Arri SR2
