The last news
I haven’t been giving much news lately, so here are the latest updates: – I have been day-playing on a feature called “Robot & Frank”, with Susan Sarandon and Lyv Tyler. Shot on the Alexa. – I have been working on a music video for Romeo & Usher. The song is “Promise” and it was shot with the Red Epic. – I am now in Schenectady, NY. I day-played on “The House Beyond The Pines”, shot on the Arri LT. DP is Sean Bobbitt. I am waiting for Irene to pass so I can come back to NY!

“Police” sunglasses
Yesterday and today, I have been working on a fashion video shoot for the sunglasses Police. The creative crew is from Italy. DP is Steve Lambs. We are in the penthouse of Empire Lofts in midtown. Below of photo of the location… and the talent.

“1095 Days” in Brooklyn
After shooting Beyonce earlier this week, Scott Beardslee and I went back to work on Han Fang Pao’s short film starting yesterday. We will go on until Tuesday. We’re using the good old Arri S16mm.

Beyonce in Red Epic
On set today with Scott Beardslee (featured photo) shooting the new Beyonce music video. We’re using one of the few Red Epic-M released. Its owner Vallo Lleo brought it especially for this shoot from Los Angeles.

35mm or HD?
Yesterday, I assisted DP Bobby Bukowski in shooting camera tests for the feature Chronicle he is currently prepping. We tested the Arri Alexa vs. Arricam ST in different conditions: driving in a car, movements in the streets, night and low light, contrasts etc. Let’s see which one they will pick!

Two music videos shot this weekend for the Spanish artist Luis Fonsi. Directed and produced by Pablo Cross (operating the camera on the photo), shot in exteriors in NYC with the Red M-X.

Music Video in S16mm
I am at The Wooly today, downtown, shooting a music video for the british band The Pierces. The song is called “Glorious”. DP is Scott Beardslee and we’re using an Arri SR2, plus other old cameras including an Eclair Coutant and a Bolex. Fun!
