No, it’s not Paris…
… but Las Vegas, NV. I am just coming back today from a week working on a famous TV show. We stayed at the Caesars Palace, where most of our locations were as well. Vey smooth and pleasant shoot!

“Seventeen Forever”
Yesterday, I worked on my second music video for the band Metro Station. After Shake It! in the beginning of the year, producer Justin Beloniel asked me to operate the Jib on Seventeen Forever. Taking place at night at the Veluzat Ranch in Santa Clarita, the set was a sort of a trashed Luna Park. Marc Ritzema was the DP. Video coming soon…

Toyota
I just finished a two days shoot for Toyota. We used the jib in its “Super” configuration (18ft). Simon Balderas directed these three spots, mixing interiors and exteriors, with most of the shots done with the crane. Watch the video below: [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHwA1TM-hCA]

Orange RockCorps Concert
The DP Gavin Brennan had me operate on the concert that the RockCorps association offered to his volunteers. With lots of big names from the rap world, it took place at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City. Here is a short intro from Busta Rhymes I shot the day before. More videos to come. Seal sings for Obama
I pulled focus yesterday on the next Seal’s music video, “A Change Is Gonna Come”. Shot in black & white by Joshua Reis using his Arri SR3 package and a Aaton LTR, the singer was just by himself performing in front of a black background and a spot light. Neon directed this video in support to Obama’s campaign.

Kevin Spacey & Robin Williams in “Shrink”
I just finished working for a week as a 1st AC on the next Kevin Spacey’s movie, directed by Jonas Pate. Challenging shoot, with 3 Panavision cameras running simultaneously. In a building on Abbot Kinney in Venice, we mostly shot the scenes taking place in Spacey’s office.> I will keep on working on it as a day player when they need a 3rd camera. DP: Lukas Ettlin Operators: Brown Cooper and Todd Campbell A and B 1st ACs: Hassan Abdul-Wahid and Eliott Schakne

Frenchies back in LA!
The French producer Laurent Darmon, who did Passi’s music video last year, came back to LA to shoot “Ray of Light”, the new single of the singer William Baldé. We spent this very sunny day in Venice, using the Arri SR3 in handheld mode, shooting in a house and later by the beach. It was a busy but yet very enjoyable day! Antoine Marteau was the DP and Delfina Garfias, the 2nd AC. http://www.dailymotion.com/embed/video/x5dvvs?logo=0&hideInfos=1
