I just came back from two days in Palm Springs, where I worked on a short film called Flyboy. We were at the Air Museum, the action taking place in a old but beautiful 1936 “B-17”. The jib was in its 18ft configuration, mostly used for the exterior shots of the plane. More pics on the “jib operator” page. DP: Matt Turve Camera: Arri SR2

Seal sings for Obama
I pulled focus yesterday on the next Seal’s music video, “A Change Is Gonna Come”. Shot in black & white by Joshua Reis using his Arri SR3 package and a Aaton LTR, the singer was just by himself performing in front of a black background and a spot light. Neon directed this video in support to Obama’s campaign.

Speedo
Using the Aaton A-Minima, I worked on a “Speedo” commercial shot by Klaus Thymann this week-end. After a few set-ups on the beach and in the streets of Venice, we took a small boat to go off-shore and film the model swimming… Let me tell you I felt bad for him when he had to do it… the water was so cold and more agitated that we would have expected… We got some nice slow-motion shots though!
