Running for the NEB
Local 600 Election are coming up. I have decided to run for the NEB. Below is my Candidate Statement. Please reach out if you have any questions. I hope to get your vote. Make sure to get your voice heard, our Union needs it. I am thrilled to run for the Eastern Region NEB as a Camera Operator and proudly represent my fellow brothers, sisters, and kin. Short Film Screening
Local 600 Queer Groups’s Short Film Screening took place on Saturday 12/07 at Arri Brooklyn Haus and was a huge success! We had big turnout of about 65 people. We screened 11 short films, all DP’d by Local 600 members from every classification (loader, 2nd AC, 1st AC, Operator and DPs). The 1hr45mn screening was followed by a Q&A, moderated by myself! I want to warmly thank Keisha Simmons and Anna Nowlan from the NYC Office for their help and support, and Xiomara from the National 600 Office. Follow the Local 600 Queer Group on Instagram and Facebook.

It’s official!
After 13 years as a 1st AC and a few dozens of days transitioning, I have changed my card and am now a Local 600 Camera Operator! I put a lot of dedication into becoming a good focus puller over the years, and I’m planning on doing the same behind the camera. I want to show my gratitude to those who have been helping me during this transition: My “Power” crew: Mauricio Rubinstein, Hernan Otano, Aaron Medick, Scott Maguire, Michael Garofalo, Rodrigo Millán. Learan Kahanov, Heather Norton, Amanda Jayne on “Madam Secretary”. Tobias Datum and Kevin Akers on “Mozart in The Jungle”.
